My debut novel The Witch's Crystal:

Derek wants the throne to save his country from ruin. But the sleeping Queen's supporters want him dead. In order to take the Crown Derek will need to draw out his enemies with the promise to revive Queen Fainre by using the Witch's Crystal.

The Crystal is in the Netherworld and it will take a powerful witch and even more powerful sorcerer to get it. Tannis, his family disgraced by the cowardliness of his father, will take on the journey and clear his family's name.

Amabel has her own needs for the Crystal and Queen Fainre. She cares little about Derek so long as he doesn’t interfere with her plans. As they travel, she lays the plans to bring down the current crown of Lensavine.

Recipe: Hoppin John's (Ham & Beans)

This is a family favorite and can be easily tweaked to accommodate anyone's taste. We use this recipe for nachos, burritos, with eggs at breakfast the next day, etc. We use the small crockpot for home meals and a larger one for potlucks.
